1965 - Spring
Norman married my best friend. They both broke my heart – but I survived.

1965 - Fall
My boss at EMI records offers me a job in London as a record producer. I sailed on the ship the SS United States to start a new life and to forget Norman. I produced 25 records including my own, which make the charts in the U.K.

1968
I fell in love with one of my artists. We leave for the States and get married. Norman who is still my best friend gives me my wedding party because my family turns their back on me; my husband is a man of color.
